DCTechs helps data-center technicians find contractor projects in the US. To do that we store your documents and contact details. This page explains what we collect, why, who can see it and how to delete everything.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
The operator of the DCTechs platform (the dctechs.us website, the Telegram bot and the mini app) is referred to as "we". For any question about your data, write to privacy@dctechs.us.
2. What we collect
Only what is needed to match you with projects and to hand your documents to a contractor. You upload documents yourself; nothing is collected silently.
- Identity and work-authorization documents: driver license, passport, Green Card, EAD, state ID.
- Company documents: LLC/INC articles, EIN letter, W-9, insurance (General Liability, Workers’ Comp or a waiver, vehicle insurance).
- Certificates and qualifications: OSHA 10/30, lift, First Aid/CPR, BICSI, CFOT, fiber, electrician license and others.
- An ID-style photo and a resume.
- Contact details: phone, email, Telegram ID and username, interface language.
- Profile: name, city and state, skills, experience, English level, availability status, willingness to relocate, vehicle/tools.
- Platform history: offers, your responses, project participation, referral code.
- Technical data: a hashed IP address and security logs (login, upload, deletion). We do not store the full IP.
We do not ask for and do not store Social Security numbers (SSN). Please do not upload documents that show one; if that happens, contact us and we will delete the file.
3. Why we use it
- Matching with contractor job orders: we compare the order requirements with your profile and documents.
- Sending a document package to a contractor on your behalf — only after you accept a specific offer.
- Notifications about offers, document expiry and project status — in Telegram or by email.
- Security: account protection, abuse prevention, an access log for documents.
- Community: showing your nickname, city and skills on the member board — only if you opt in yourself.
- Complying with the law and protecting our rights.
4. Consent
We process your documents and contacts on the basis of the consent you give when you register in the bot or the cabinet. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account (see section 7).
5. Who can see your data
- Group leader: full access to the profile and documents, as needed for matching and negotiating with a contractor. Every view and download is logged.
- Recruiters: metadata only — document type, verification status, expiry date. They cannot open document contents.
- Contractors: receive a document package only for a specific hiring and only after you accept the offer. The contractor must use the documents solely to onboard you for that project.
- Service providers acting on our instructions: hosting (servers in the US), Telegram, email delivery, and an AI service that recognises the type and expiry date of documents. Each is bound by confidentiality terms.
- Public authorities — only on a lawful request.
We do not sell personal data, do not share it with ad networks and do not use it for advertising.
6. How we protect it
- Every file is encrypted at rest with its own key; the keys are protected by a master key that is kept outside the database.
- Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS only.
- Staff access is role-based; the leader must use two-factor authentication; actions are logged.
- Backups are encrypted and rotated: a copy older than 30 days is deleted.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete the account yourself: the "Delete my data" command in the bot or the "Delete my account" button in the cabinet. The profile, documents and files are removed from live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days by rotation.
After deletion we may retain minimal technical records (identifiers, hashes, a security log without document contents) where needed to prevent abuse or required by law.
Documents already sent to a contractor for a hiring are held by that contractor; to have them deleted there, contact the contractor directly — we will help with the contact.
8. Your rights
At any time you can: see what we store; correct inaccurate data; get a copy; delete the account; withdraw consent; leave the community. Most of this is available directly in the bot and the cabinet; the rest on request to privacy@dctechs.us. We respond within 45 days.
Where applicable (in particular for Texas residents under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and California residents under the CCPA/CPRA), you also have rights to access, correct, delete and port your data, to opt out of sale or targeted advertising (we do neither) and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We aim to honour such requests regardless of your state of residence. If we decline a request, you may appeal by writing to the same address.
9. Age
The platform is intended for persons aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Telegram and cookies
The bot and the mini app run inside Telegram; your use of Telegram is governed by Telegram’s privacy policy. From Telegram we receive only your ID, name and username.
The website uses technical cookies only: the session (httpOnly) and the language choice. There are no third-party trackers or advertising cookies.
11. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will notify you in the bot or by email and update the revision date at the top of the page.
